Regular maintenance of twin-screw extruder
When operating a twin-screw extruder, it should be maintained on time. The maintenance process is carried out after the twin-screw extruder runs continuously for 2500-5000h and shuts down. The screw is extracted to inspect, measure and identify the wear condition of the most critical components, replace the components that have reached the specified wear limit as soon as possible, and repair the damaged components . The maintenance standard of the reducer of the twin-screw extruder is the same as that of the ordinary standard reducer. It is mainly to check the wear and failure conditions of gears, bearings, etc. The gearbox should operate the lubricating oil specified in the machine manual, and add the oil according to the specified oil level. If the oil is too small and the lubrication is not smooth, the service life of the parts will be shortened; if the oil is too much, the heat will be large, the energy consumption will be high, and the oil will be easily deteriorated.
The daily maintenance of the twin-screw extruder should be done regularly and on time, without occupying the operating hours of the machine and equipment, usually during the start-up period. The key is to clean up the machine, lubricate the moving parts, tighten the threaded parts that are easy to loosen, check and adjust the motor, control instruments, various working parts and pipelines as soon as possible.
